The 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 is for drivers who want their trucks to do more than just haul and tow. All the angles are covered here: comfort, looks, off-road competency, and more. And with nine trim levels and a deep bench of options, you should be able to get the exact truck you have in mind.

Explore the Key Features and Differences Across Each Trim Level

ZR2

2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZR2

Standard diesel power, Multimatic DSSV dampers, driver-selectable front and rear lockers, large aluminum skid plates, and massive 33-inch tires are just some of the hardcore gear that make the ZR2 the most capable off-roader in the lineup.

Custom Trail Boss

The Custom Trail Boss is basically the Custom’s off-road cousin. The torquey Duramax diesel engine is on the menu here, along with heavy-duty air filters, skid plates, Hill Descent Control, an upgraded suspension, a two-speed Autotrac transfer case, Goodyear Wrangler Territory tires, a two-inch factory lift, and improved approach and departure angles.

WT

The WT, short for Work Truck, is, as the name suggests, the job-ready trim. Its power comes from a 2.7-liter TurboMax engine offering up to 310 horsepower, 430 lb-ft of torque, and a 9,500-pound towing capacity. Out back, there’s a roll-formed high-strength steel bed with class-leading cargo volume and 12 tie-down hooks.

Custom

This trim builds on the WT with a remote start system, heated power side mirrors, LED cargo bed lighting, bigger yet lighter wheels, and an EZ Lift power tailgate that takes some grunt out of loading and unloading.

LT

Up next, the LT brings in chrome touches and a generous helping of creature comforts, such as heated front seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel with mounted controls, and larger displays (13.4-inch infotainment touchscreen and 12.3-inch Driver Information Center).

RST

The RST earns its title as the sportiest Silverado 1500 with animated LED taillights, a blacked-out Bowtie, and body-color bumpers, door handles, and center grille bar. Crucially, it’s the first one in the lineup to offer the 420-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 as an option.

LT Trail Boss

Take the LT, throw in the off-road chops from the Custom Trail Boss, and you’ve got yourself the LT Trail Boss.

LTZ

The LTZ upgrades the already impressive LT with standard leather, heated and cooled front seats, a rear window defogger, a Bose premium sound system, wireless charging, and a hitch view camera.

High Country

This is as high as you can get on the comfort scale. You get premium leather with exclusive stitching, real open-pore wood trim, carpeted floor mats, adaptive cruise control, heated rear seats, and more.
