The Terrain comes equipped with a complete Driver Convenience Package that makes all of your rides more relaxing. The GMC Driver Convenience Package includes the Remote Start function, heated front seating, a heated steering wheel, illuminated vanity mirrors, and express windows. With the Remote Start function, you can turn your Terrain on or off and adjust its climate settings before getting in the vehicle.

2. GMC Premium Infotainment System

The 2025 Terrain has a GMC Premium infotainment system with Google built-in availability. This infotainment system measures 15 inches, and its features can be accessed on the color touchscreen or through natural voice recognition.

The available Google built-in feature brings helpful resources like Google Play, Assistant, and Maps to your Terrain’s infotainment system. Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM radio, and OnStar Basics are also included on the Terrain’s infotainment system.

3. Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking

The new GMC Terrain is full of driver-assistance features that increase your safety and the safety of others on the road. This includes Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, which helps you avoid an accident or reduce the severity of one. Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking uses radar and camera technology to watch your Terrain’s surroundings and provide hard emergency braking if a collision with a pedestrian or another vehicle is detected.

4. Safety Alert Seat

Safety Alert Seat is an advanced safety function that can warn you about incoming collisions and tell you the direction they’re coming from. This feature uses vibration pulses in the driver’s seat to indicate whether the collision is coming from the left or right. If you don’t like these pulse indicators, you can switch to beeping crash avoidance alerts instead.

5. 1.5L Turbo 4-Cylinder Engine

The new GMC Terrain runs on a 1.5L Turbo 4-cylinder engine that’s paired with a continuous variable transmission. This duo produces 175 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque on the FWD model and 175 horsepower and 203 lb.-ft. of torque on the AWD model. The 1.5L Turbo engine provides a maximum trailering capacity of 800 pounds on the Terrain FWD model and 1,500 pounds on the AWD model.

6. Automatic Stop/Start

The GMC Terrain’s 1.5L Turbo engine has automatic Stop/Start technology, which helps lower your fuel usage. Under certain conditions, automatic Stop/Start shuts your engine down when you come to a complete stop. When you start to take your foot off the brake, the engine automatically restarts.
