If you’re in Chillicothe, OH and looking to make a shopping run, we have news for you. There are tons of great options right here in town where you can pick up all the clothing, home, and personal goods you might need without needing to ever leave Chillicothe! If you’re like us and prefer to buy local and avoid the larger chained stores, read on for our recommendations of the best local places to shop.

1. Fashion Exchange Consignment

A bit of a hybrid between a thrift shop and a boutique, Fashion Exchange Consignment at 260 East Main Street is the largest and most established of its kind in Chillicothe. Serving the community for over two decades, this shop is a frequented spot by most Chillicothe locals.

Whether you’re looking for used vintage clothing or some new modern brands, you’re bound to find what you’re looking for at Fashion Exchange. Follow their Facebook page to keep up with sales, as often they’ll offer absolutely irresistible bargains!

2. Julie’s Shop on Paint

Once you’ve stocked up on clothing, it’s time to drive over to Julie’s Shop at 92 North Paint Street to load your bag (or truck!) with other goodies for your home. Just make sure you still have plenty of space in the back, as there’s often lots to find here!

Originally a furniture store, Julie’s specializes in antique and classic furniture but also offers a variety of artwork, ornaments, plans, and other home decorations to go with it. If you’re looking to decorate the living room, this is the place to go.

3. Chillicothe High Street Craft Mall

Now that you’ve got clothing and basic home necessities taken care of, it’s time to go shop for some extras to make your home and lifestyle uniquely yours. And the place in town for that is Chillicothe High Street Craft Mall over at 674 North High Street.

Here you can browse their lovely changing selection of handcrafts, art, custom wall decorations, holiday gifts, wooden ornaments, and much more. The staff are lovely and will happily help you pick out the best selections or even hook you up with some custom-ordered goodies if needed!

If you’re planning a big store run like this, the first thing you’ll need before hitting the store is a nice big car to carry everything home. And the good news is that Chillicothe can have you sorted with that as well. So before you hit the stores, head over to the Coughlin GM of Chillicothe to pick up a new car big enough to handle that trip to buy furniture, like the 2023 Chevy Silverado!
