2022 Chevy Colorado offers four trim levels: LT, WT, Z71, and ZR2. Each trim provides a standard four-cylinder 2.5-liter engine with a six-speed automatic gearbox or a V-6 3.6-liter with an eight-speed automatic. There are various options to customize every trim level, including a short or long bed and a crew cab or extended cab. You’ll also have the option to upgrade from a rear-wheel drive to a four-wheel drive.
LT Trim Level
This trim level is based on the WT trim, which offers 17-inch alloy wheels, an 8.0-inch touchscreen with your infotainment system, a six-way power driver’s seat, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. There is a turbo diesel engine available and various configuration options for the crew cab and extended cab, which include 2WD 128″ LT and 141″ LT and 4WD 128″ LT for the Crew Cab and 2WD 128″ LT and 4WD 128″ for the Extended Cab.
WT Trim Level
When you select the WT trim level, you’ll have all the standard basics, including the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, the option of a six-speed or eight-speed automatic transmission, and several engine choices, including the 2.8-liter turbo Inline-4 Diesel, 3.6-liter V6 and V6 Gas. You’ll have three Crew Cab sizes and two Extended Cab size options, similar to the LT trim.
WT offers other features that include the option of vinyl or cloth upholstery, a 7.0-inch touchscreen, 17-inch steel wheels, and compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Z71 Trim Level
You’ll find all the fantastic features available with the LT trim level, plus additional options, including fog lamps, projector-beam highlights, premium leather and cloth upholstery that’s stylish and durable, HD radio, and a 4.2-inch driver-information display in color. There are two engine options with this trim, including the 2.8-liter Turbo Inline-4 Diesel and V-6 3.6-liter Gas, with the choice of a six-speed or eight-speed transmission.
ZR2 Trim Level
If you’re looking for the next level after Z71, the ZR2 offers premium features that include leather upholstery with a four-way power passenger seat, stylish and unique blacked-out exterior trim, Multimatic DSSV dampers, and Autotrac two-speed transfer case. There are several special editions with this trim level, including the ZR2 Dusk Special Edition and the ZR2 Midnight Special Edition.
ZR2’s Dusk edition features include off-road accessories and equipment, such as the off-road sports bar and lights, high-gloss black and aluminum spare wheel, and black exterior color. ZR2’s Midnight edition offers a variety of features that include 17-inch gloss-black aluminum wheels and a spare wheel, off-road lights and sports bar, a soft folding vinyl cover, and a high-quality black exterior finish.
